What AVID fundraising helps us pay for: Field Trip Costs, Testing Costs, Curricular Materials, AVID Events, AVID Teambuilding, AVID Wear.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an elective with curriculum that gives students the strategies and tools needed to prepare for college. For one period a day, students receive the additional academic, social, and emotional support that will help them succeed in our school's most rigorous courses. AVID students strengthen their writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading skills through teambuilding, student tutoring, Socratic seminars, research and other engaging curriculum.

One of AVID's goal is to close the opportunity gap, so we can prepare all students for college, careers, and life.
