7th Grade & New 8th Grade Orientation-- Donation: ORIENTATION DAY is Wednesday, August 19, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. This day will prepare you for the first day of school. STUDENTS: will meet in the gym for a fun-filled informative half-day retreat that will make the transition to middle school a positive one. Our goal is to help you meet other students, learn ways to be successful, to know the campus so you feel comfortable the first day of school. PARENTS: will meet in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at 8:30 a.m. for a general information session, purchasing P.E. clothes and yearbooks, break into small groups and go to classrooms for facilitated sessions on topics relative to your child succeeding in middle school. See downloadable form for topics. This is an "optional" program and is self-supporting. There is a donation request of $15 for each child to cover costs of the program, (e.g. supplies, lunch, staffing, parent breakout sessions and orientation momentos).
